Backpacking the Uintas Part 2

 Here is the campsite we ended up at after spending two hours bushwhacking the last half mile. Turns out there was a trail, but the map didn't show it and it was really grown over.

 The lake that was our destination.

 Even though the trail was impossible to find there were several signs around the lake. I think that it just doesn't get much traffic so the Forest Service doesn't keep it up. Fitting name since we saw Harry Potter after we hiked out on Friday.

We found quite a bit of trash (most of it very old) so we decided to pack it out. In all we carried out about five pounds of garbage. It was just to pretty of a place to leave trash even if it wasn't ours.

The old pull-tab style can has been out there for a while. Wish more people were responsible like this.
