I was talking with my friend Angela last week, and we were discussing gear. It is one of my favorite topics. I think that everyone on some level uses gear. Gear can be anything, a camera lens, mountain bike, or even knitting needles (old lady gear). We ended up discussing our favorite pieces of gear. I thought that it would be interesting to hear from all of you. So, the question of the day is; What is your favorite piece of gear? Please post in the comments section.

Hmmm Favorite Gear:
1. Jeep (come on that has to count)
2. Backpack - The green Dana
I can only choose one? I'd probably have to say the Patagonia R1 pullover. I seriously wear one 300 days a year whether it's walking to the bus stop, climbing, skiing, running, or warming up in a cold house.
The Ultimate Direction water bottle with the "kicker" valve is a close second.
"Gear" is such a broad term...
I think I'm going to have to go with my off road jog stroller. I have literally hiked with that stroller and am amazed at some of the terrain it can handle. It also doubles as a set of kid-sized camp chairs.
I really like my sunglasses. They are about the only thing that I use daily. I have gone through several pair and they are the first pair that I have been able to wear outside without giving me headaches. At work, I would have to say my pencil. It took me a long time to find one that I like and now that I have it I am very possessive of it. My coworkers even know not to touch it. (Hey, I'm an engineer.)
No offense to Steve, but I can't imagine living in a world where I had to wear a pullover 300 days out of the year.
As we all know, the temperature in Heaven is 70 degrees. So until I get there, I'll put on my R1 for the 45 degree mornings that end up as 70 degree afternoons.
I'm glad Brett said sunglasses. I want to change my vote, I love sunglasses also. A year ago one of my kids scratched what I thought was my favorite glasses ever. But then I got a new pair of Native Bombers which are the best I've ever had.
Gear? Running shoes... they mean my feet are comfy and I'm off to do something I love.
